Meow Murders is an Animated Short that I worked on with Nejla W, Arron A and Sarah A. The concept for the film is that its supposed to be a fake ad for the RSPCA asking pet owners to keep their cats inside and to bring attention to the fact that Cats when let out of their homes endanger native wildlife. This project was completed using Toon Boom.

Character Sheets

Using Nejla’s concept drawings as a base I created the character sheets below. As Nejla and I have very different drawing and animation styles I made sure to try to stick to her original concepts as much as possible so that our character sheets could be used as accurate references during the animating and coloring stages.

Storyboard Drafts

Nejla and I worked together in the storyboarding process, below is the first storyboard concept that I completed from the project. After completing the storyboards I handed them over to Nejla who put together a digital final storyboard.

I did the animation cleanup of the scenes that Nejla did the rough Animation for. I made sure to keep on model to her rough animation and our character sheets as much as I could as we have much different animation styles.
